The Question of Being

Target is too high, close friends and associates say I won't. I replied nothing. I truly believe in result, let me carry out the target set, and let my result be their answer. I love consulting with friends and associates about pros and cons before delving into a project. I value their comments, suggestions, and most important, association.

Sometimes, pessimist view make us divide our resolute mind, not at all as one might say, but at least for a while. We can't ignore even, at the same time, we can't digest criticism as well. Criticism and pessimism can't be termed as poles apart, or part and parcel in the same league.

Dis-tractors are in your way, uninvited though, and it is your sole responsibility to face without loosing your cool and self confidence. It is only when you develop the ability to listen anything from them unconditionally, keeping your ego aside, that you can be assured of being declared you are committed to your work.

Can you count how many times you encounter difficulties in a year or in 52 weeks, or in 365 days, or in 8760 hrs, or in 525600 minutes or in 31536000 seconds? No, not possible, because you encountered innumerable times of difficulties, thousands of dis-tractors causing you tensions. But you can forget everything in a second when you reap the desire results for the work and the goal you sought.

Well done Ibobi

Who is Thuingaleng Muivah?
He doesn't need an introduction; at least for the North East people. He was successful in making a niche in the world of law breaker. Now he is trying very hard to become a lawful citizen. Its very good move. But why at the cost of Manipur's territorial integrity?

Thuingaleng Muivah is wanted and with more than 1 lakh as cash prize on his head from the state Government for several cases of murder and mayhem like  the 1992-1993 ethnic cleansing of Kuki tribes in Manipur, in the state is still valid. It is said that the ethnic cleansing uprooted 350 Kuki villages, claimed more than 900 lives and 100,000 Kukis turned into refugees.

Under Indian Constitution, Article 19 (1)D, everyone has the right to live and move anywhere in India. But there is also a clause mentioned in the Article 19 [Article 19 (5)] that if the individual movement leads to a law and order problem, his movement can be restricted as per law.

Chief Minister O. Ibobi, on finding that the Union home ministry is proposing to send him under Z-plus security cover in a government helicopter to the state, refused to oblige the centre's order to let Thuingaleng Muivah in at the meeting called by Home Minister, P Chidambaram, Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee and Defence Minister AK Antony...it is indeed, a bold act. None of the previous CMs nor the future CMs would dare to take that stand at the interest of the people of the state in large.

The capricious decision of Government of India, with an equally dominant and arrogant diktat of forcing compliance from the Ibobi government followed, there rise automatically a lot of questions in the mind of many Manipuris. It is need of the hour for all the Manipuris to stand united for our territorial integrity and peaceful co-existence.

Mission IM-possible

Action speaks louder than words. There are certain things which are not controllable. What will you do if someone cornered you after knowing your weak point? Weak point is something which need utmost care. It may brings you down from your position, or it may help you in reaching your dream goal.
Before sharing your petite feeling to someone you trusted most, examine yourself twice or thrice...make sure that he or she had also shared their secrets to you. Otherwise accept your defeat to him/her someday.
Winning is beautiful, everybody wants to win; but to win, learn to lose. See his/her reaction when you are in loss...accordingly make your decision. Remember that your correct decision will make your mission of life possible.

Conspiracy - modern avatar

After so many years, months and days of silence in our friendship, he call me up on a lethargic Sunday morning. Unexpected it was...really. Talked for a while, topic ranging from Ibobi's govt. to rising mercury in Delhi to ash in Iceland. Incoming has no bill so I attended without bothering his bill.
But nothing comes in free nowadays...he was talking endlessly because there was someone to pay his mobile bill...for a while I forgot his nature...talking after so many years that's why!!! A genuine rival is better than a factitious friend...a lesson after the mobile talk.
After a lengthy diversion, he took a U turn and asked me about my feelings towards my ex-love. After opening the closed clogging, all of my discontentment and condemnation flush out...loose self control... till the call was off. He recorded our talk using his latest mobile, equipped with latest technology...and presented to my ex-love.
Even my enemy cannot do this. I make up my mind...I spoke only the truth and "the truth" doesn't need to remember or memorize...
I have no baggage for my past, am quite happy with my present ...why should I bother about the nightmare again and again!...the bottom line mantra yielded: NO LOOKING BACK...!

"Laadli Scheme" a must for every state

The 'Laadli Scheme' launched by Delhi Government in association with the State Bank of India (SBI) is one such good initiative that every state must follow for the future of "girl child" in the country.
Female foeticide is such a heinous crime which is still committing in some parts of the country. The initiative of the Delhi Government will surely help in curbing female foeticide on one side and will help in enhancing the social status of them on other side.

Though the accumulated amount of approximately Rs.1 lakh which the girl will get on attaining the age of 18 years and at least passing out 10th standard may be low, it will surely help in protecting them from discrimination and deprivation at certain level. Only giving them good education will help in bringing a balance society.

With the scheme in great success, now parents started believing in sending their children back to government schools. With "Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan", another step to fight our biggest challenge "illiteracy", its right time for the rest of the states and union territories to implement "Laadli Scheme" in their respective states.

We are still looking forward to the promise made by SSA to provide useful and relevant elementary education for all children in the 6 to 14 age group by 2010 in India.

Bad taste

Time heals everything,... your foe may become your friend, your lost reputation may get regain, your debt may get clear, your lost love may come back to your life...just keep fighting, pace your step forward, the world is not going to end now.
Everybody is destined and has to face a worst time in their life, its a part of the journey, nobody can spare. Loosing heart, and admitting failure and stop moving ahead wont bring a good taste in life. Don't just let dare to go the way your life takes you.
A failure has many options to explain why they got failed..."they cheated me...I don't like...Have another offer...am exploited...am being used...no future..."
Why do you keep on blaming to others? Unnecessarily you are making a long list to blame. Castigate thousand times, but they won't stop moving; your imputation won't make their world end, instead it will strengthen their position.
Don't expect someone to justify on you on the same...don't ever wait. Because the mistake is in you, not the other. Before accusing others, justify your stand and credibility; and if you think you really have the potential then go ahead, you have unlimited limit; but don't blame on others for your failure. Prove that you deserve success then only the rest will believe in your claim[s].
Success doesn't come easily. After crossing thousands of hurdles and obstacles, you will get a little bit of success. Before you get success, you will come across many leg pullers, thousands will blame on you, the world might seem standing against you. Don't loose heart, keep fighting. Just take your life the way you wish to go, success will follow you...remember hard work always pays.

Sleeping with the enemy!

I had never prepared to face the attack from someone very close to me,...even I didn't expect that someone very close will take advantage of me. Every now and then, this dirty thing is infiltrating into my mind. Now whenever I recollect our conversations, all sound different. Seems frustrated, didn't even want to respond to anybody properly...huh!
If you are ambitious, successful or wanna be successful, or want to maintain your reputation; be always prepared to face the sudden attack from your secret competitor/admirer. Remember that someone very close to you can only do much harm [unexpected lost] than your open secret enemy.
Here arise one question, how can I doubt those people who are here taking care of me all day and night? How can I doubt my own blood?
Well, to find out your assailant, you don't need to doubt each and every person you accompany. A friend becomes foe only after the intrusion of a third member. That may be of either sex. You must have that much sensitivity in your life if you want everything running smooth.

...and the story goes on and on...

You say something against him and he will say something against you. She will pull out a new version, and you will clarify it till you are fed up of all the stuff and start twisting with another tale. Come on dear, enough is enough, learn punctuation once again and practice better where to ink full stop. In old good times, you were occupied in praising someone, but when the same equations are no more, still you are occupied in pulling down the very person. Shame on you babe...

What is the use of involving the innocent parent only to get some mileage! You want the same importance, same respect, same dignity...but you don't want to work hard. Do only little work but make huge claim/sound...what a formula, huh!

Stop riding on your [dim] ego. Expect less 'self importance' from others, your love is suffocating, free it. Stop creating scenes. Or don't involve me in it. Why you are wasting your precious time in spreading rumour that too using someone's clean image? Be honest to yourself, leadership comes ...not earned on bad mouthing. TRULY, You are sick babe!

Admit that you are doing wrong. Learn from your failure, let it be your stepping stone to the success. Stop moving from pillar to post and blame someone for your failure, that won't earn you a descent favour. You are happy dominating your lover, with some borrowed lines to seduce. Just shut up your mouth. Don't come in front of me, or you will get a thunderous slap on your face...both side!

Beg pardon, don't be!!! hmmm....Sabah!!!....jaise or..... Adnam "ko lift karade"!!!

Ima keithel /Khwairamband Bazaar - New hope

A small city in a small state, but still due to lack of proper administration, everything got messed up. A flyover with old-odd model has come up after much delay, making traffic flow some relieve in this Ima Keithel vicinity. Good atleast.

Ima Keithel, carefully crafted by the industrious spirit of Manipuri women represents Manipuri womens' identity. More than seven thousand ima stalls earn their livelihood from this market which is said to have founded by Khagemba Maharaj of Manipur in the late 16th century.

Now three new keithels [market complex] are in the pipeline to inaugurate, Khwairamband, Lakshmi and New Markets; where a municipal fee of Rs. 1.70 lakh has to be paid for acquiring a 4x4ft stall. Good for all of us, specially our keithel ima[s]. It's here in the Ima Keithel that our men consecrated their devotion and life to the women of the state. Among the three complex, two of them has already completed, but still waiting for the last one to inaugurate together. Can't understand the logic behind for such a long delay in throwing the market complex to the public!

"Hasbian or Wasbian"

It was terribly hot outside, light was out,... I was lethargic enough and no one would dare enough to move out under the scorching sun. At that wee hour, She came with a bag full of ornaments....gold chains, pendents and rings and many more. Sat nearby me and cried loudly.

"Dada, please keep this bag with you, and don't let him know that this bag is with you!"

When she was 16, she enjoyed her best part of life. As it happened, helping one of her friend in meeting their lover dragged her life into trouble. As usual, she was helping them in their liaison on that day too. Those two love birds were supposed to elope on a particular day. On that ill-fated day, when the guy turn up with full preparation with three four friends along, her friend didn't turn up. As face saving, the guy eloped her instead after much fight and persuasion...this and that...

Though rich, she belongs to a lower social strata. The guy whom she eloped belongs to a higher class and was also very rich. After their marriage, the guy was sent for further studies outside, leaving her alone at home. Her in-laws tortured like anything, and didn't let her communicate with outside world. After much fight, she returned back to her parents place, and waited her husband for a pretty four years. But when her husband returned back, refused to owe her as his wife, doubting and blaming against her innocent character.

From that moment, she has been playing only one game "fake love-part time marriage". Now she is 28, and quite experience in flirting men of all kind. Her phone won't stop ringing until she switched off.

One thing I admire most is her sincerity to me. One Rakhsha Bandhan day, she came to my place and took my blessing.

"Dada you are the only one in my life now, who can look after and taken care of me when I am in need"

Many times, I had discussions with her, about life, future etc. She cried a lot, lamented but I can't remove the hatred for society and men from her mind...

To the beggar with a difference

In Manipur, it is very rare to see beggar begging in the market or public places. Its been almost a decade away from now, but still I believe, you could hardly find a beggar in the city there. I still remember, my mother used to give clothing and foods away to people who came once in a year to our house asking alms. They were, in a way beggars, but 99% of them were from hilly areas where their houses were brunt down, and family members were either killed in the communal fighting or get untracheable. Circumstances compelled them to come down to the plain areas and took help to reconstruct their lives.
Here, beggars are like a part of a big and organised business. You can find in every nook and corner of the city. You can't stop your vehicle at any traffic point without disturbances from beggars. In the buses, small children follow a girl or a boy and sing some mixed songs and will force you to give them money. With their horribly dirty fingers, they will pull your shirts to draw your attention, if you protest they can behave like anything. They behave like as if they have someone to protect them.
But this beggar has a very descent behaviour. Whenever I saw him, my hand automatically pulls out a note from my wallet. He must be in his mid sixty. He never forgets to greet before begging and never forgets to acknowledge after taking begs. I have a very bad habit of giving begs only to old women of above sixties. I can't bear the senior citizen coming out to the streets and begging for foods. But except this beggar, I had never given money to men beggars, because I urged myself that they can work and earn a living instead of begging.
This evening, I was returning from attending a "Light and Sound Programme". Since very late and feel very hungry, I asked the auto driver to speed up. When I reached the traffic point of the flyover nearby my place, I asked the auto to halt for some time. I looked around but to my surprise I could not see any beggar around as usual. After crossing the traffic, I asked the driver to stop at a cigarette shop nearby, light up a stick of my brand and inquire about the absence of beggars there. The shop owner said, looking left and right by pulling out his neck outside for a while "Sab, sabko le gaya"...Kisne...."Police ne, commission ka chakker lagta hain..."
